Id-i-ot: A stupid person.

My boss and I were talking about the election this morning (of course) and I printed out the amendments so that I would know how to vote on them... you know, the wording is always so confusing. I started at the top, and was so unprepared for what I read:

Proposed Constitutional Amendment No. 1
An Amendment concerning voting, qualifications of voters and election
officers, and the time of holding general elections.

"...Repealing Article 3, section 5 of that Arkansas Constitution providing that no Idiot or Insane person shall be entitled to the privileges of an elector ..."

I seriously almost spit out my coffee.

Since 1874, Idiots have not been allowed to vote, or run for office.
I would give anything to live in 1874 and see the "idiot test" that
they must have given to voters. Can you imagine?

Poll Worker: "Good morning sir, here is your ballot, do you mind telling me who will you be voting for?"
Voter: "I'm not sure, I just wanna be able to keep my guns."
Poll Worker: "I'm sorry sir, but I need your ballot back. Under Article 3 section 5 of the Arkansas Constitution, you are not allowed
to vote."

OR

Maybe they have special lines:

"A through S here"
"T through z here"
"Idiots and Insane people, please go home."

How will you be voting today?

I thought the same thing! How funny! I felt like an idiot just trying to interpret some of those amendments.

Go McCain/Palin!!!
(So much for that. Oh well. God is still God regardless of who's in the White House!)
